Introduces a faster way for businesses to promote tweets directly from their Tweet activity dashboard. Users will be able to pinpoint tweets that are performing well and choose their audience to amplify their message to.
NY Times reports Twitter tests 'Instant Timelines" for new users. As a part of Twitter's drive to attract more users by curating a timeline for easier introduction to the social network.
Twitter's video sharing platform Vine has released a Kid friendly version of hand-picked videos containing animated characters.
Facebook's public figure's platform 'Mentions' gets an upgrade adding two new features; the ability to share updates to other social networks and add topics to their feed.
'Local Guides' is part of Google's latest update to its Map App designed to provide benefits to contributors that provide high-quality reviews for local businesses.
Tumblr makes it easier to filter posts by text, photo, video and more. This is one of a string of updates Tumblr has released of late with more in the works.
As reported by WSJ, Pinterest is looking at ways it can appeal more to it's male user base. As Pinterest explains it, they are "trying to make it easier for them (Men) to find the men’s section."
Releases 'Connected' App designed to help users to maintain their relationships with their connections to take advantage of opportunites to grown, learn and strengthen them.
The three main actions built into the app are:

- Get to know people better
- Get reminders about relationships
